Meinhard Kieser

Meinhard studied Mathematics at Heidelberg University, graduating in 1986. He received his PhD in 1991 and got his habilitation (‘Venia legendi’) for Medical Biometry in 2001. After working as a University research fellow and as a biometrician in the pharmaceutical industry, Meinhard is full professor and director of the Institute of Medical Biometry and Informatics, University of Heidelberg, since 2008. His areas of research include adaptive designs, sample size calculation and recalculation, multiple testing and non-inferiority / equivalence trials. He is editorial board member of various scientific journals and has a longstanding expertise in the design, conduct and analysis of randomized clinical trials.
